The AMC American Cancer Research Center has tested all Tilley Hats and certified that they block 98% of harmful UVA and UVB radiation, and provide the highest certification rating of Ultraviolet Protection Rating (UPF) 50+. Measurements: Front and back of the brim: 3-7/8"; sides: 3-1/2". Hat Sizing: Tilley Hats fit more comfortably than other hats. To find your size, simply use a tape measure to measure around your head in inches, just above your eyebrows (do not pull tight). Order options are given in inches and hat size. If you already know your regular hat size, please order one size larger when you order your Tilley. Tilley's Guarantee: If you ever succeed in wearing out your Tilley Hat, send us the remains and we will replace it free. If you want to keep your faithful, old, worn-out friend, tell us and we'll return it to you. We understand.
